Gear in Beast of Reincarnation covers more than Emma’s weapon. First-party material names katanas for Emma, Charms for Koo, and Spirit Stones that produce effects based on actions during battle. Fictions also documents edition items: Koo skins, the Big Dipper sword, Oni’s Hat, Amber, and Vegetable Seedlings. These groups have different purposes and evidence, so they should not be collapsed into one unverified item tier list.

The pre-order items guide is the current complete entitlement lookup. Stats, upgrade paths, drop locations, stacking rules, and ordinary item catalogs await the public Steam build.

Separate equipment by its owner and slot

GAME FREAK’s official Developer_Direct article says players can find new katanas for Emma and Charms for Koo through exploration, with each offering specialized bonuses. That establishes two owner-specific equipment groups. An item for Emma should not be presented as if Koo can equip it, and a Charm should not be labeled a generic accessory until the final interface confirms its slot behavior.

For every discovered item, record the exact display name, owner, equipment type, written effect, source, requirements, and visible version. If the interface shows upgrade level, rarity, comparison arrows, or multiple slots, keep those as separate fields. Do not fill an unknown field from a similarly named preview item.

Specialized bonuses imply tradeoffs, not a universal ordering. One katana may support an action that another build rarely uses. A Koo Charm may change command behavior in a way that matters only with certain Bloom Arts. Those relationships belong in Builds; the Gear index should first tell the player what the object actually does.

Spirit Stones respond to combat behavior

Spirit Stones grant effects based on actions during battle. This makes the trigger as important as the result. A future database should preserve the exact condition—such as an action, state, or timing rule—as written in the public build, then record the resulting effect without translating it into an unsupported percentage.

The useful questions for a Spirit Stone are:

  • Which action or state activates it?
  • Does it belong to Emma, Koo, or the combined loadout?
  • Is the effect immediate, timed, conditional, or limited?
  • Can more than one Stone be equipped, and do identical effects stack?
  • Does upgrading alter the trigger, the outcome, or both?
  • Which version and difficulty were used to observe the result?

None of those operational details is fully stated in the pre-release sources. The durable fact is the action-linked design. That is enough to warn against choosing Stones by name alone: the player must be able to produce the trigger consistently.

Verified edition and pre-order inventory

Fictions’ support article provides the authoritative list as of 2026-08-01. Standard Edition pre-order entitlement includes:

  • Alternate Brown Shiba Skin for Koo;
  • 30,000 Amber, identified by the publisher as in-game currency.

Deluxe Edition entitlement includes:

  • Alternate Brown Shiba Skin for Koo;
  • Alternate Black Shiba Skin for Koo;
  • Big Dipper sword for Emma;
  • Oni’s Hat for Emma;
  • 100,000 Amber;
  • Vegetable Seedlings for in-game use.

The publisher says the Standard items are available as part of that edition during pre-order. It says Deluxe contents remain part of Deluxe purchases after the pre-order window. The wording supports entitlement and availability, but not item power, delivery timing, upgrade level, resale behavior, or whether cosmetics can be changed immediately.

The Big Dipper is a named sword and Oni’s Hat is a named item for Emma. Their presence in Deluxe does not prove either is stronger than exploration gear. Skins change Koo’s listed appearance; no mechanical bonus is claimed. Vegetable Seedlings are described only as being for in-game use, so their planting system, yield, and value remain unset.

Amber is named currency, not a complete economy

The support article explicitly calls Amber an in-game currency and assigns different edition quantities. That confirms the name and entitlement amounts. It does not establish every earning source, shop, sink, upgrade cost, farm rate, cap, or whether edition Amber is delivered before a particular tutorial step.

A useful currency guide after launch should map Amber to the menu where it is shown, the transactions that consume it, and reproducible sources. Edition grants should remain a separate source type because a one-time commercial entitlement is not evidence of normal gameplay income.

Do not compare edition value by converting Amber into an invented cash price. No first-party exchange rate is given, and the real usefulness depends on what the final economy allows it to buy.

Exploration is the confirmed ordinary gear source

First-party material specifically says new katanas and Charms can be found through exploration. This supports searching optional spaces and inspecting discovered equipment, but it does not publish a complete region or chest list. Game Informer’s hands-on preview observed optional items in wooden sheds and abandoned huts, along with wide explorable areas and vine-assisted movement. That is an attributed preview observation, not a complete loot map.

When the public build arrives, record sources at the level actually observed: named chest, quest reward, merchant, boss, region, or story step. “Found in the world” is acceptable until a precise source is repeatable. Never invent a drop rate from a single acquisition.

Captured Nushi powers and boss-earned Bloom Arts should not automatically be filed as gear. They may belong to skills or progression even when they influence a loadout. The final menu ownership determines the category.

How to compare gear without horizontal tables

Use a card-style record for each object so mobile players can read every field without a sideways table. A reliable record contains:

  1. exact item name and owner;
  2. category and slot;
  3. effect text and trigger;
  4. acquisition source and prerequisites;
  5. upgrade state and observed change;
  6. AppID, branch, public version, platform, and check date;
  7. an evidence label distinguishing official entitlement, in-game observation, or preview report.

For a comparison, keep the same encounter, difficulty, skill allocation, and partner setup. Change one item. Measure the outcome relevant to its effect rather than assuming a higher-looking number is better. Spirit Stones especially need trigger frequency recorded alongside their result.

Package identifiers are not gear categories

Third-party package metadata associates unnamed AppIDs 4146810 and 4146830 with commercial packages. Their public names and functions were unresolved at the checkpoint. They must not be called DLC, bonus packs, soundtrack apps, tools, or item inventories.

Standard and Deluxe remain package/entitlement distinctions around the same base game AppID 2001760. If Valve or Fictions later publishes a separate DLC Store relationship, it can receive its own scope after identity is confirmed. Until then, the publisher’s written item list is the safe source.

Gear questions answered now

What equipment types are confirmed?

Katanas for Emma, Charms for Koo, and Spirit Stones whose effects respond to battle actions are publicly named.

Is the Big Dipper the best sword?

No reliable source establishes that. It is a Deluxe entitlement; its final stats and comparison with exploration katanas need the game.

What is Amber?

Fictions identifies Amber as in-game currency. The broader earning and spending economy was not public.

Are the Koo skins stat bonuses?

They are listed as alternate Shiba skins. No mechanical advantage is claimed in the support article.

Sources and verification

Gear scope was checked 2026-08-01 using Fictions’ official pre-order details, the Steam Store description, and GAME FREAK director Kota Furushima’s Developer_Direct article. The limited exploration observation is attributed to Game Informer’s hands-on preview. No third-party item statistics are used.
