Beast of Reincarnation Regions Guide

Follow the confirmed Beast of Reincarnation region framework across Colonies, wastelands, plains, blighted forests, and the westward journey.

The world of Beast of Reincarnation is Japan in the year 4026, transformed by the Blight. Emma and Koo travel west through distinct environments that first-party material describes or shows as settlements called Colonies, broad wastelands, plains, and blighted forests. These are safe regional concepts, not a complete official stage list.

A launch region guide should add canonical names in story order only after the game reveals them. The goal is to show how environment, traversal, enemies, equipment, and narrative context change without turning descriptive trailer scenes into invented locations.

Colonies are the human settlement frame

Official story material refers to Colonies in the transformed world. Record each named Colony from the game’s map, dialogue, or title card, including the first point it becomes accessible and the services actually present. Do not assume every settlement has a shop, upgrade station, quest board, or fast-travel point.

The lore layer should explain the settlement’s relationship to the Blight and the journey while the navigation layer lists routes and functions. Keeping those distinct prevents a player looking for a vendor from receiving an unavoidable story reveal.

Wastelands establish exposed travel

First-party images and descriptions show harsh open terrain beyond dense growth. On the release build, record sight lines, landmarks, elevation, environmental hazards, encounter spacing, and vine interactions. A visually open area is not proof of an open-world structure; it can still belong to a staged route.

Use terrain descriptions that can be reproduced. “From the broken structure, follow the low ridge to the vine prompt” is more useful than calling an area huge. If weather or time changes navigation, capture the trigger rather than assuming a dynamic system from one scene.

Plains change encounter reading

Broad plains can expose enemies and route branches earlier than a forest. Document how far Koo’s threat cue is observed, which landmarks distinguish the main route, and where elevation offers a falling approach. Do not infer detection distance from visual draw distance.

Equipment or side-space entries should link to the exact landmark and story state. If an item is only present after a return visit, state that condition. Avoid turning one preview pickup into a region-wide loot table.

Blighted forests emphasize vertical growth

The Blight reshapes vegetation into traversal and danger. Vines can create bridges or climbing routes, and dense growth can hide enemies or optional paths. The dedicated Blighted Forests guide covers those navigation principles without pretending every forest stage is identical.

At release, use canonical region titles and separate them when their route, enemy set, or progression function differs. “Blighted forest” can be an environment type rather than one map name.

Connect regions through the westward objective

Emma and Koo’s westward travel is part of the official premise. Record transitions through title cards, map boundaries, transport sequences, or story events exactly as presented. Do not add real-world Japanese coordinates unless the game makes the correspondence explicit.

A route table should include origin, destination, transition condition, return status, and first visible version. This shows whether the journey is linear, branching, or revisit-friendly through evidence instead of genre expectation.

Keep stage count attributed

Game Informer’s hands-on preview attributes roughly ten stages and an approximately 30-hour length estimate to the director. Until the public game’s map and completion evidence confirm the structure, preserve that as an estimate. A prologue, hub, boss arena, or ending route may be counted differently by different players.

Do not create empty pages solely to reach ten. Publish a regional child page when there is a canonical name, navigational evidence, unique facts, and enough useful content. The current hub keeps broad environment coverage consolidated.

Build each regional record consistently

For a confirmed area, capture in-game name, story order, entry and exit, central landmarks, checkpoints, vine routes, optional spaces, encounters, equipment, and revisit behavior. Put late bosses and plot outcomes behind spoiler labels. Attach platform and version to routes affected by updates.

Validate every location against a raw screenshot or direct play note. A map marker, subtitle, and marketing caption can each use different wording; the public in-game name should lead, with aliases recorded only when necessary.

Region evidence foundation

Japan 4026, the Blight, westward journey, environment variety, and Colony concept come from the Steam product description, the official Developer_Direct article, and director-authored publisher material. The stage estimate remains attributed to Game Informer. A canonical complete region list awaits public play.
