Beast of Reincarnation’s official PC performance references are 1080p at 40 FPS on Low for minimum and 1080p at 60 FPS on Medium for recommended, both with named upscaling conditions. These targets were corrected in the July 30 official announcement and Steam listing. They provide a baseline, not measured launch results for every configuration.
Public benchmarking should begin after the global August 4 unlock and identify the visible game version, driver, full settings, and route. Preload behavior cannot demonstrate runtime performance.
Anchor the test to the two official tiers
Minimum pairs an i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 3600 with GTX 1070 8 GB or RX 580 8 GB, 16 GB RAM, and an SSD. The RTX clause applies only to a compatible alternative using DLSS; the listed Radeon route uses FSR 1 Performance. Recommended pairs i7-12700K or Ryzen 7 5800X with RTX 3060 12 GB or RX 6700 XT 12 GB and uses DLSS or FSR 3 Performance.
Do not mix the CPU from one tier with the expected result of another without disclosing it. Record exact GPU model and power behavior, especially for laptops where a familiar name can represent a different limit.
Select a route that stresses the game
Use at least three scenes: ordinary traversal, a dense Blighted environment or area transition, and combat with Emma, Koo, and visible effects. Run a fixed path and camera motion for a fixed time. A menu or empty starting room is not representative.
Record first run after launch or update separately from later passes. Shader compilation, caching, and background Steam activity can make the first traversal different. If a cutscene has a separate cap, report it as a cutscene result rather than blending it with gameplay.
Measure delivery, not only the average
Collect average FPS, low-percentile behavior when the tool supports it, and a frame-time graph or stutter count. A 60 FPS average with recurring long spikes can feel worse than a stable lower cap. Note the moments that produce spikes so another tester can reproduce them.
Use one monitoring method and name it. Overlays can themselves affect a borderline configuration, so confirm surprising results with a minimal run. Do not present extrapolated numbers as measured hardware.
Separate GPU, CPU, and streaming limits
Lower render resolution or upscaling quality while keeping the route fixed. A substantial improvement suggests GPU pressure. Little change alongside uneven core behavior can point toward CPU or streaming constraints, but system utilization alone is not definitive. Check frame caps and synchronization first.
SSD is part of both official tiers. A drive below specification can affect loading or streaming and should be disclosed. Memory is 16 GB in both tiers; record total and active background use instead of claiming a memory leak from one high reading.
Test DLSS and FSR as named conditions
Record method, quality mode, output resolution, sharpening, and whether any frame-generation control is enabled. The Store’s FSR 3 wording does not by itself prove frame generation is required or available. Native, quality, balanced, and performance comparisons are valid only if the launch menu offers them.
At 1080p, inspect moving foliage, thin geometry, particles, Emma’s hair and weapon edges, UI, and Koo. Performance gains should be reported alongside visible tradeoffs. Do not compare screenshots captured at different camera positions as though they isolate the upscaler.
Diagnose stutter by recurrence
Mark whether a hitch occurs once, on every traversal boundary, at a repeated effect, during autosave, or during Steam Cloud activity. Repeat the route without rebooting. A one-time first-run event and persistent frame pacing require different fixes.
Check official news before recommending unsupported launch options. Clear caches or edit configuration only with a documented reason and backup. Generic registry cleaners and third-party “FPS boost” packages are not valid troubleshooting steps.
Create a benchmark record that can age
Include game version, Steam update date, Windows build, driver, CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM, storage, display, full preset, upscaler, route, run count, and metrics. Attach the current official note if a patch targets performance. Preserve previous results for comparison.
Avoid a universal “optimized” score. A setup can meet 60 FPS in one region and struggle in a later effect-heavy fight. State the tested coverage and use a range when the route varies.
Performance evidence boundary
All official targets and hardware come from the corrected Steam Store page and July 30 “Preload Now Available & More” announcement. No public launch benchmark existed at the 2026-08-01 checkpoint. Therefore measured FPS, stutter frequency, driver recommendations, laptop behavior, and platform comparisons remain release-version evidence rather than predictions.
