The verified PC scope for Beast of Reincarnation is 64-bit Windows on Steam, AppID 2001760. Steam lists Windows 10/11 at minimum, Windows 11 as recommended, DirectX 12, 16 GB RAM, 45 GB available storage, and an SSD requirement. Fictions and GAME FREAK said on July 30 that earlier specifications contained mistakes and that the Store’s revised specifications are the correct guidance.
Use the PC requirements guide for the exact minimum and recommended components. This hub also separates Store feature labels from behaviors that need hands-on Windows evidence: controller mapping, save location, Cloud conflicts, real performance, crash fixes, Steam Deck, Proton, and native non-Windows support.
Native platform scope stops at Windows
The Steam requirements publish only Windows operating systems. That supports native Windows 10/11 coverage. It does not support a native Linux executable or a native macOS build. A Linux-looking depot icon, forum request, or compatibility database entry cannot change the publisher’s stated native platform.
Steam Deck compatibility was shown as unknown in the Store evidence reviewed for this checkpoint. Unknown is not Unsupported and not Verified; it means Valve has not supplied a conclusive public status on that page. Proton is a compatibility layer and should be reported separately from native Linux. A reproducible Proton result also needs device model, SteamOS version, Proton version, game build, settings, and observed problem.
Fictions’ platform support page confirms PC (Steam), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Console availability does not prove identical PC controls, graphics options, saves, performance, or cross-save. This Tech section keeps Windows evidence in the foreground.
Corrected minimum Windows target
The current minimum listing is:
- 64-bit processor and operating system;
- Windows 10 or Windows 11;
- Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
- 16 GB RAM;
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with 8 GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 580 with 8 GB VRAM;
- DirectX 12;
- 45 GB available storage;
- SSD required;
- Low preset, 1080p, 40 fps guidance using DLSS on RTX 20–50 series or FSR1 Performance.
This is a target description, not a guarantee for every component combination. The publisher announcement explicitly notes that testing cannot cover all hardware. A laptop GPU with a similar name, reduced VRAM, or lower power limit should not be assumed equivalent.
Corrected recommended Windows target
The recommended listing is:
- 64-bit Windows 11;
- Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X;
- 16 GB RAM;
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 12 GB VRAM or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12 GB VRAM;
- DirectX 12;
- 45 GB available storage;
- SSD required;
- Medium preset, 1080p, 60 fps guidance using DLSS or FSR3 Performance.
The target includes an upscaler and a preset. Removing those conditions changes the performance question. “Recommended” should not be paraphrased as native-resolution maximum settings or a locked frame rate.
Storage, preload, and first launch
Steam says 45 GB available space and requires an SSD. The July 30 official announcement says preload is available for Steam pre-purchasers and activated keys. Preload downloads encrypted content before release; at unlock, Steam must decrypt or unpack it. That process can need temporary headroom and can be limited by storage speed even when the network is idle.
Keep more than the listed minimum free when possible. Do not advertise a final download size based on one preload report because compressed download, installed files, language packs, and temporary unpacking space are different measurements. Record which number Steam presents and where.
If launch appears stalled, first distinguish downloading, disk allocation, unpacking, Cloud sync, and the game process. Each has a different signal in the Steam client and should not be merged into a generic “server down” report.
Controller support without borrowed console inputs
Steam lists full controller support and recommends a controller. Store evidence also identifies Xbox controllers, DualShock over USB, and DualSense support in the compatibility panel surfaced during research. The exact final Windows mapping, remapping interface, glyph switching, wireless behavior, and simultaneous mouse input require the release build.
The PlayStation Blog mentions a Triangle-button command example on PS5. That proves the game-wide command concept but not the Steam binding. A PC guide should open the controls menu, record the device, connection type, button prompt, and remapping result.
Keyboard and mouse support should likewise be documented from the public menu. Full controller support is not proof that every keyboard command is rebindable, nor that one controller’s prompts appear correctly when another model is connected.
Steam Cloud and save boundaries
The Store lists Steam Cloud. That means the product integrates the Steam feature; it does not publish the local save path, file format, number of profiles, conflict resolution, or synchronization timing. No first-party source reviewed here confirms cross-save with PlayStation or Xbox.
Before testing a save path, allow Cloud synchronization to finish, create a clearly identifiable save event, close the game normally, and observe which local files changed. Record the Windows account and Store build without publishing personal folder names. Copying or moving files should come after a recoverable backup.
A support guide must distinguish Cloud status from game state. A Cloud warning can occur while local play still works, and a local save problem can occur while Steam says Cloud is up to date.
Language and accessibility facts
Steam lists 11 languages with interface and subtitles: English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish–Spain, Portuguese–Brazil, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. English and Japanese also list full audio.
The Store accessibility panel surfaced adjustable difficulty, subtitle options, custom volume controls, and stereo sound. Those labels support availability, not every option’s range or effect. Text size, color settings, input assists, pause behavior, and screen-reader support must be read from the final menu before being claimed.
Language support does not imply the operating system is supported. Portuguese–Brazil subtitles, for example, are not evidence of native Linux or macOS compatibility.
Build a reproducible performance report
A useful PC result contains hardware and conditions, not just “runs well” or “stutters.” Record:
- CPU, GPU, VRAM, and system RAM;
- desktop or laptop model and GPU power limit where relevant;
- Windows version and GPU driver;
- game public version or exact build context;
- resolution, display mode, preset, and frame cap;
- DLSS or FSR mode and any frame-generation setting;
- the tested location, duration, and observed frame-time behavior;
- whether shader compilation, traversal, cutscenes, or first-run activity was involved.
Change one setting at a time. A launch-day hardware note should not become a universal “best settings” guide without repeated scenes and clear tradeoffs.
Troubleshooting boundaries before release
No evidence-backed crash, stutter, or save-path fix exists for the unreleased public Steam build. Generic actions such as verifying files or updating a driver can be appropriate after a specific symptom, but they should not be padded into a game-specific solution before the error is observed.
At launch, start with the exact error and phase: Steam unpack, executable start, display initialization, loading a save, or active gameplay. Preserve logs before deleting caches. Avoid registry cleaners, unofficial DLL downloads, and destructive save removal.
The Tech hub already provides useful preparation: corrected target specs, SSD headroom, platform limits, feature labels, and a reproducible reporting method. Fix pages will be added only when a specific Beast of Reincarnation failure has reliable evidence.
Sources and verification
PC facts were reviewed 2026-08-01 on the Steam Store requirements and feature listing, the July 30 corrected-spec/preload notice on the official Steam Community hub, and Fictions’ platform support page. Console-specific instructions are not used as Windows mappings.
